Premier Cooperative is proud to support graduating high school seniors pursuing an Ag Short Course or any 2+ year accredited degree. To be eligible for a scholarship awarded at Premier Cooperative’s January 2026 Annual Meeting, applicants must:

Be a graduating high school senior in the class of 2026.

Be the child of an active member of Premier Cooperative. Active members must have conducted over $1,500 of patronage business with Premier from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025.

Submit an essay on "What agriculture means to rural America", with a minimum length of 200 words.
Scholarship winners will be announced during the January annual meeting. The number of winners and the actual size of the scholarships will be determined by the board of directors. Please note that not all scholarships may be awarded. |

- Have at least a 3.0 GPA, or show consistent academic improvement over time
- Plan to attend a Wisconsin-based accredited Higher Education Institution (two or four year) starting in the fall of 2026
Judging Criteria
Entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges comprised of Wisconsin business leaders and members of the academic community, and scored based on five elements:
- Essay (60%)
- Letters of reference (20%)
- Academics (10%)
- Community involvement/employment (5%)
- And first generation (5%)

5. Have been in a Title I Program between early childhood and grade 12
6. Submit the completed scholarship form postmarked by midnight, March 1, 2024. |

§ Open to any current year graduate of Benton High School who plans to attend a post-secondary learning institution.
- Amount of Scholarship
§ Amount and number of scholarships to be determined annually by the Benton Alumni Association Scholarship Committee. Scholarship proceeds will be payable to the post-secondary learning institution during the first week of January each year. Scholarship recipients will be required to provide a copy of 1st semester grades to the Treasurer of the Benton Alumni Association (Myrna Sysko) prior to the distribution of funds.

§ Benton Alumni Scholarship Committee will be comprised of five (5) Benton High School graduates.
- Letters of Reference
§ Two letters of reference shall be part of the application process. Only one (1) of these letters should be from Benton School personnel.

- Eligibility:
- The scholarship is open to any Benton High School senior who plans to pursue education beyond high school at any approved college, university or vocational/technical school.
- Amount of scholarship:
- (2) $200 scholarships will be paid upon completion of the student’s first semester at the school of his/her choice. A transcript of the first semester, showing a GPA of at least 2.75 must be presented before scholarship money is paid to the student.
- Presentation:
- The announcement of the recipient will be made on Awards Night.
- Application Deadline:
- Submit this form to the Benton High School Guidance Counselor by April 15 of the graduating year.
